T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2022 Toyota Avalon- Video
Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One Trailer Wiring Harness here on our 2022 Toyota Avalon. So a trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the many things that we need in order to tow a trailer with our Avalon. In addition to this, we're gonna need a trailer hitch and a ball mount slash hitch ball, all of which we carry here at etrailer. Now what the trailer wiring harness actually does is it's gonna transmit the vehicles' taillight signals to the trailer, which is a legal requirement in every state. A lot of your larger camping trailers are actually gonna cover the taillights on the vehicle, so we need a way to safely transmit those signals so we can arrive to our destination safe and sound. So when we're not using our trailer wiring harness, it's actually gonna be stored in the trunk here which is really great for those people who aren't towing every day. more

Today in our 2014 Toyota Avalon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tekonsha's 4-pole vehicle wiring harness.And this is what our wiring harness looks like when it's installed. That's right. It's completely hidden on this vehicle because it lives inside the vehicle. So when we open the trunk we just lift up on our floor cover here, and our harness is located underneath. When we're ready to use it, we just drape it down the back. more

Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Toyota Avalon- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2013 Toyota Avalon we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Hopkins Plug In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector. That's going to be part number HM11141820.So here's what our wiring is going to look like once we have it installed. It is designed to stay on the inside of our vehicle until we're ready to tow, and it's going to provide us with a 4 pole flat connector giving us all the required lights to get down the road safely such as our tail lights, turn signals and our staff lights. And whenever we're not towing, we can open up the trunk, and the cushion here is going to provide enough cushion to where it's not going to damage the wire and Hopkins has put that sheathing around it. But whenever we're ready to store it, we can either store it here in the trunk, or we can lift up the floor covering and store it by our spare tire, so it will be out of the way.Now as far as the installation goes for our wiring, it is going to be rather simple. We're just going to have to remove this threshold plastic panel at the back of our trunk, pull back the carpet, and we're going to have a few connections behind our taillights that we're going to plug into. more

TowReady Taillight Converter Hardwire Kit Installation - 2007 Toyota Avalon- Video
All right, today on this 2007 Toyota Avalon, we're going to install part number 119178KIT. All right, first thing we need to do is get access to the wire harness. We need to get behind the taillights so we'll go ahead and remove the interior components until we get to the taillights. We'll go ahead and remove the floor covering first to get down to the spare tire. Then we'll go ahead and remove the threshold. We'll go ahead and loosen up the tie downs first on the threshold, there's one on each side and then we'll go ahead and pop the threshold loose from the sheet metal underneath. Now there will be some plastic fasteners on the top edge of it that we need to loosen up first and then the ones on the bottom, we can go ahead and pop loose simply by pushing a little bit forward. With our threshold out of the way, we'll go ahead and start on our driver's side. more
